Privacy, Shipping and Returns Policy

1. Shipping & Handling

We take extreme care in preparing your phenakite for its journey. Because these crystals are prized for their clarity and terminated points, we use a "double-box" method for all high-value specimens.

  • Processing Time: Orders are typically dispatched within 1–3 business days.
  • Packaging: Every stone is wrapped in acid-free tissue, secured in a padded gem jar or eco-friendly bubble wrap, and placed inside a reinforced box.
  • Insurance & Tracking: All orders over $100 are shipped with full insurance and signature confirmation required upon delivery.
  • International Shipping: We ship worldwide. Please note that buyers are responsible for any customs fees or import taxes that may apply.

2. Returns & Exchanges

Due to the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of natural minerals, all sales are final except in the cases listed below.

  • Natural Variations: Phenakite often contains natural inclusions, internal fractures, or "veils." These are not considered defects but are part of the stone’s DNA. Please review all high-resolution photos and videos before purchasing.
  • Change of Mind: We generally do not accept returns for "change of mind." However, your satisfaction is our priority—if you are unhappy with your piece, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery to discuss a potential store credit.

3. Damaged Items

In the rare event that a specimen arrives damaged:

  • Notification: You must notify us via email within 24 hours of the tracking showing "Delivered."
  • Evidence: Please provide clear photos of the damaged crystal and the exterior packaging (this is required for our insurance claims).
  • Resolution: Once verified, we will provide a full refund or a replacement of equal value.

4. Return Shipping

If a return is authorized:

  • The item must be returned in its original condition and original packaging.
  • The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and must use a tracked/insured service. If the item is returned damaged due to poor repackaging, a refund will not be issued.

​3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
​We do not sell your data. We only share necessary information with trusted partners to run our shop:
​Shipping Carriers: We share your name and address with USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL and Auspost so they can deliver your package.
​Service Providers: We use Godaddy to manage our email list and Godaddy to host our store. These providers are bound by strict privacy standards.

Note: ​Since phenakite can sometimes be mistaken for clear quartz, Danburite or topaz by the untrained eye from the Mogok and Myanmar region, all Phenakite has been tested. Some of the testing methods include diamond tester, melt test and visual formation specific to the region. Please also note that Phenakite does scratch glass.
